Karunyagiri is situated amidst the amazing, panoramic and swirling hills near Pullikkanam, Vagamon. Karunyagiri, driven by the motto “All from God, All to God” has six houses in four zones: Community Zone (Sangashram), Silent Zone (Maunashram), Forest Zone (Vanashram), and Mercy Zone (Karunashram) and also a good library. From the very beginning, two American citizens, Mrs Elizabeth Erickson and her daughter Miss Juanita Campbell, generously supported the development of Karunyagiri. The first house, House of Bethany was blessed in 2008. The Peace House was constructed in 2009, the Upper House in 2010, Chavara Bhavan in 2011-15, Santhom in 2013, and Darsana Veedu in 2016. From 2014, an animator appointed by the Provincial is in charge of the ashram. The vision of Karunyagiri is to provide an ashram of simple living and deep interiority for “the seekers on the way” has been fulfilled in this house of meditation, prayer, retreats, community living, spiritual renewal and service.
