In 1920 a residence was started at Kurianad and was raised to the status of a canonical house in 1922. The foundation stone for the Chapel was laid on January 16, 1917 and the first mass was offered in the chapel on April 1, 1919. The Monastery chapel was rebuilt in 1979. In 2006, the first floor of the monastery building was remodelled and furnished to begin a new aspirants’ house for the higher secondary education of the aspirants. Besides rendering catechetical and pastoral services to the people around, Monastery started St Anne’s Schools.
